The Trustee for Towrang Stockade Land Manager

 

The trustees are a group of local volunteers appointed by NSW Crown Lands | Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. 

The mandate of the land manager is the care, control and management of the stockade reserve and associated relics.

The key functions of the Land Manager are:

Conservation and maintenance of the reserve sites and structures in as near original condition as possible.

Maintain ancillary items such as fencing and ensure sites are clean and free from encroaching weeds.

Observe the provisions of the Crown Reserve Code of Conduct.

Ensure safe and ease of access to the reserve site for the enjoyment and education of the general public.

Perform regular site inspections for structure integrity and public safety.

Provide a basic information brochure for the reserves self-guided tours.

Make recommendations to the Minister for any improvements, conservation work or maintenance work that may be required.

Implement and manage any work done on the reserve.
